What a magnificent writing retreat near Winnipeg! Notebooks and hearts were filled with great willingness and openness. Big thanks to this terrific group of women.
The yearly moving pen 'readings from writing practice' once again took place at Ben McNally Books, in November, 2017. It was a magnificent reading, enhanced by a receptive capacity audience.

The 12th moving pen 'readings from writing practice' took place on November 13, 2016, at the beautiful independent bookstore Ben McNally Books. The high standard of material once again made for a tremendous evening.
The Moving Pen travelled to Winnipeg in July for the marvelous 2nd annual Manitoba retreat. The inspired chef Monique (back row, far right) joined the writers for this picture.
'readings from the moving pen' takes place each fall, when we are fortunate to read at Ben McNally Books. The November 2015 reading saw a full house enjoying the varied offerings from the participating writers.
The 5th annual women's writing retreat took place in Septeber 2015, at our 'home' retreat centre near Coburg-- full of rich and inspiring experiences.

June 2010 saw 'the moving pen' participate in The Silver Screens Arts Festival at Ryerson University.
In 2009, 'the moving pen' travelled to England, where we wrote in a beautiful old stone home, and ate well!
